Conservation
Inert materials, sealed cases and documented finishes, reviewed with your conservator before fabrication starts.
From Concept to Execution, we build Exhibits that hold a Visitor's Attention.
EPI-Colorspace builds mounts, graphics, specialty lighting and interactives for museums, universities and school, visitor centers and corporate collections.
We help museums, visitor centers and businesses turn their ideas into welcoming spaces that inform and engage visitors. From the first design to the final installation, our team guides you through the choices and keeps the work coordinated.
You do not need to know how an exhibit is built. Tell us what you want visitors to see, learn or experience, and we will help you choose the right displays, graphics and lighting for your space and budget.
We put the exhibit pieces together at our headquarters before they travel to your gallery. This lets us check that everything fits, the graphics line up and the lighting works as planned.
You can review the designs, materials and photos before delivery. We resolve the details early so installation is more straightforward and you know what to expect.
Start Your ProjectOne team guides you through planning, design, production and installation. Explore each step to see how we help turn your ideas into a finished exhibit.
Tell us about your visitors, the pieces you want to display and your opening date. We look at the space with you and agree on the priorities.
We show you how the exhibit will look and help you choose materials, colors and lighting. Your team can review the plans and request changes before production.
Our team builds the approved designs at our headquarters and checks how the pieces fit together. We then pack and label them for delivery to your space.
We agree on a suitable installation schedule, protect your space and set everything up. We review the finished exhibit with you before the handover.
Four constraints that shape every exhibit we build, named up front so nothing surfaces at install.
Inert materials, sealed cases and documented finishes, reviewed with your conservator before fabrication starts.
Output and color temperature specified per case, with UV-filtered glazing where the collection calls for it.
Door swings, deck removal and media service points designed for the people who maintain the gallery daily.
Stable plinths, tempered and laminated glazing, and egress clearances checked against the approved layout.

The questions curators, registrars and facilities teams ask us most, answered plainly.
Yes, and we do it often. Send the design intent set and we return drawings for review, flagging anything that will not hold up in fabrication or install. We can also design the exhibit outright if you do not have a firm engaged.
Ten to sixteen weeks for custom casework, driven by glazing and finish lead times rather than by shop hours. Graphics and lighting packages on existing casework run three to five weeks. We build the schedule backwards from your opening date.
We install the exhibit and the mounts. Object handling stays with your registrar and preparators unless your institution asks us to take it on and the loan agreements allow it. We schedule mount fitting sessions so your staff place the object once.
We build traveling exhibitions to break down into crated sections with a numbered set list and an install manual, so a venue crew who has never seen it can put it up correctly. Storage between venues is available at our facility.
Gallery plans, the object list with dimensions and any design intent drawings. Graphics artwork in .ai, .eps or .pdf, with raster art at final size and 0.125 in bleed. Large sets can be dropped through our file transfer link rather than email.
“Hi Larry - as always, the exhibit stuff was fabulous! It arrived in plenty of time and looked gorgeous. My board char and other board members commented on how awesome it looked and how excited they were that the step and repeat had plenty of room for all folks to be in the photo.”
Send an exhibit plan, an object list or a photo of the space. We bring visions to life, and we will tell you honestly what your calendar allows.
