Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art: Immersive Storytelling
Environmental Graphics & Signage Solutions
EPI Colorspace • June 25, 2026
EPI ColorSpace partnered with the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art to produce and install large-scale environmental wall murals ahead of a major exhibit opening.
The project transformed blank gallery walls into immersive storytelling surfaces designed to enhance the visitor experience through color, texture, and visual continuity.
The installation utilized high-resolution mural vinyl paired with cast matte laminate to reduce glare under museum lighting while maintaining rich artwork detail and long-term durability.
Due to the gallery wall conditions, the project required a full surface prep and priming process prior to installation to ensure proper adhesion and seamless application. After overnight curing, our team returned to complete the multi-panel mural installation with precise alignment, clean seams, and smooth transitions across the space.
Project Highlights
- Large-format wall mural installation
